Looks Like Our Site — But It’s Still DoorDash
Thank you for ordering. We mean that. But here’s something a lot of folks don’t know: when you place an order through a “powered by DoorDash” page — even one that looks like the restaurant’s own — DoorDash still takes a commission on every plate.
White-Label, Same Toll
“Online Ordering by DoorDash” (sometimes called DoorDash Storefront) is DoorDash’s white-label checkout product. The page is branded to look like the restaurant — and a lot of customers reasonably assume they’re ordering direct. They’re not.
Looks local. Routes to SF.
- Hosted by DoorDash, with a per-order commission on top
- Customer data and order history live on DoorDash servers
- Branded checkout with marketplace-style fees
- Profits flow to a public San Francisco tech company
The real direct order
- 100% of your dollar comes to our family kitchen
- Lower prices without the third-party tax
- Order issues? Call us — a real person, every time
- Money stays in Temple — supporting Temple
An honest heads-up: if a checkout page says “powered by DoorDash” at the bottom — that’s the giveaway. Even though it’s wearing our colors, the order is still going through their platform, and they’re still taking their cut.
The good news: ordering truly direct is just as easy. Same comfort food, often a better price, and every dollar circulates right here in Temple — not back to a public tech company in San Francisco.
Skip the White Label
Order through our actual kitchen, not a DoorDash storefront. Same plates. Better support. Local economy.
